During the holiday season, we host our Annual Christmas Memorial Service, an informal, non-denominational service of music, readings and reflection for all ages. We even provide families the opportunity to light a Candle of Memories in quiet tribute. The Tree of Remembrance is a 5-7ft. native hardwood tree, which is planted in memory of a person who has passed. Paul & David Janisse established the Memorial Forests in conjunction with the Essex Region Conservation Foundation for the lifelong protection of these trees. The lands, on which they are planted, are conservation lands, and will always be protected as such. The Program began in 1989. Anyone can visit the Memorial Forest at any time. A tree or trees may be planted to honour the memory of anyone who has died. Trees may be ordered through the Funeral Home, or the Essex Regional Conservation Foundation. Currently the Essex Conservation Foundation charges a donation of $50.00 per tree. A tax deductible receipt will be forwarded by the Foundation. Call Janisse Bros.-Marcotte Funeral Home today and let us show you the many ways we can help create a very special day of remembrance.
